Free Long Distance Calls and Phone reminders

2 02 2007

PhoneI have found two very interesting phone related websites while surfing around.

You can make free long distance phone calls at Gizmo Call. Gizmo call gives you 5 minutes a day (10 if you register), to call most anyone in the world. After 5 (or 10) minutes, you can purchase additional minutes, in portions of $10.00. Your account depletes by only 1.5 cents per minute.

BrainCast lets you leave yourself messages, by calling a toll free number. Online, all you do is set up 1 to 3 phone numbers that you will be able to leave messages from. I added my cellphone number. Then you can call that toll free number from one of the phone numbers you have added to the BrainCast list. When you log back into BrainCast on your computer, you will see you most recent messages. The most effective way of sending yourself messages through BrainCast, is adding BrainCast’s toll free number to your address book, and assigning it a number on your cellphones keypad as a shortcut.

Happy Vista Day!

30 01 2007

Yup, Vista is finally out. Lets see, its been *counts on fingers* 1,2,3,4,5, yes five years. But I guess 5 years is what it takes to make a great (lets hope) Operating System. Vista comes in four flavors. Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate. What I hear is that Home Premium will be shipped on most OEM Machines. Also I hear that you don’t want to buy Home Basic as it does not have important features (Areo Glass Folks :-P ). I actually got to play with it for a few seconds over at my local Circuit City, and I have to to congratulate Microsoft (But it does look kind of Macish. Humm).

Apple Releases iPod Nano (Product) Red

16 10 2006

Apple just released a new addition to the iPod Nano Second Generation Product line. The newest Nano, sporting Apples new anodized aluminum casing and the color red. Why red? Not just because it is cool, but also to support people in Africa dying of AIDS. There is more information on the (Product) Red website at www.joinred.com. Although the iPod Nano Second Generation line has some of the coolest looking casing available, the color red makes this even cooler. It’s the same friendly iPod we know on the inside, but it has that cool little (Product) Red logo, just so that you can brag to all of your friends that you got a red iPod and you just supported people in Africa.

I Personally think this is the coolest looking iPod out yet and I would love to see this one in person. For more information on how to buy an iPod Nano Second Generation (Product) Red, go to www.apple.com/ipodnano/red.
